Product Care & Help Guide

Quality armchairs are designed to be the centerpiece of comfortable British living rooms for years. To preserve fabric softness, cushion resilience, and timber leg finishes, please follow our practical maintenance advice below:

1. Fabric Upholstery & Cushion Care

  • Vacuuming: Lightly vacuum fabric seams and cushions once a week using a soft brush attachment to remove dust, crumbs, and lint before they settle into the weave.
  • Spill Response: Blot liquid spills immediately with an undyed, absorbent microfibre cloth or paper towel; never rub vigorously into fabric fibers. Use specialized, mild upholstery foam for stubborn spots after testing on an inconspicuous area.
  • Sunlight Protection: Avoid positioning armchairs in intense, direct south-facing sunlight for prolonged periods to prevent uneven fabric fading.

2. Wooden Legs & Frame Integrity

  • Periodic Tightening: Naturally shifting weight over time can cause threaded screw fittings to settle. We recommend checking and gently retightening chair leg bolts after the first month of use, and once every six months thereafter.
  • Floor Protectors: Always use the included felt pads under solid wood legs to protect timber and laminate flooring from accidental scratches.

3. Cushion Plumping & Rotation

  • Plumping: High-resilience foam and fiber-filled cushions settle naturally with daily use. Give seat and back cushions a gentle fluff and rotation periodically to maintain their plump, welcoming shape.
