Delivery & Shipping Policy

At Fred Parkin, we understand that furniture requires extra care and specialized handling during transit. We coordinate with established British parcel and freight couriers to bring your armchairs safely and promptly to your home.

1. Postage Rates & Nationwide Coverage

• Standard Delivery Charges: 100% Free Tracked Shipping on all armchairs and seating pieces. We never charge heavy-goods handling fees, fragile-packing supplements, or remote postcode surcharges at checkout.
• Coverage Area: We deliver to all destinations across the entire United Kingdom (including England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands, and UK offshore regions).

2. Timelines, Cut-Off & Transit Schedules

• Daily Order Cut-Off Time: 2:00 PM UK Time (GMT / BST during daylight saving hours). Orders placed after 2:00 PM will commence order handling on the subsequent business morning.
• Depot Handling Time: 1 to 2 business days (Monday through Friday). Each armchair undergoes quality checks, receives reinforced edge padding, and is booked onto courier collection runs.
• Courier Transit Time: 4 to 7 business days (Monday through Friday) for all UK destinations.
• Total Estimated Delivery Time: 5 to 9 business days from your date of order placement.

3. Weekend & UK Bank Holiday Clause

Please note that Saturdays, Sundays, and UK Public Holidays (Bank Holidays) are not classified as operational working days. Orders placed during weekends or national holidays will begin processing on the following working business day, with courier transit rolling over accordingly.

4. Consignment Tracking

The moment your armchair leaves our dispatch facility, our system automatically emails you an electronic dispatch notice containing your direct tracking reference link, allowing you to follow your delivery right to your door.
